Tiger Wheel & Tyre has announced the launch of the new Turn 1(TM) range of automotive batteries, which is now available at Tiger Wheel & Tyre outlets throughout South Africa.
“This new product line represents both an extension of the Turn 1(TM) brand as well as an expansion of Tiger Wheel & Tyre’s automotive battery offering, which includes the Duracell Automotive and AtlasBX brands,” Tiger Wheel & Tyre MD, Chris Farrar, explained in a statement. “We are very pleased with the Turn 1(TM) battery range, it is a range that represents superb quality as well as value for money. The batteries are also designed for small, medium and large passenger vehicles as well as SUV and light delivery and commercial vehicles.”
According to the statement obtained by AUTO REPORT AFRICA, all models in the Turn 1(TM) range are Enhanced Flooded Batteries or EFB, which represents a superior battery design and improved performance and renders them suitable for entry-level stop-start vehicles. An improved cover design makes them easy to handle and fit into the vehicle.
A state of charge indicator gives the driver quick reference as to the battery’s state of charge, while other best-in-class design features yield superb electricity flow, maximum impact strength, and excellent battery life.
Finally, the Calcium2 Grid Technology in Turn 1(TM) automotive batteries improves their performance, reduces grid corrosion and water loss and increases their mechanical strength and ability to accept a higher charge voltage.
