Naija Car Lovers Partners FRSC, ATCN on Young Adults Road Safety Seminar

Naija Car Lovers, an online automotive blog, in collaboration with the Federal Road Safety Corps, (FRSC) Lagos State Sector Command and Automobile Touring Club of Nigeria (ATCN), an affiliate of the FIA (Federation Internationale de l’Automobile), is organising a seminar on road usage titled; Young Adults Road Safety Seminar in Lagos as part of its contribution to the global action against road crashes.

The event, which is scheduled to hold at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), 13/15 Kofo Abayomi Street, Victoria Island, Lagos on October 12, 2017, is targeted at the youths and young adults (15-45  years old) who have been identified as the most active road users and also the most vulnerable to road incidents or mishaps. The organisers said since road crashes have been identified globally as a major threat to the lives and wellbeing of youths and young adults all over the world, especially in developing nations, these subsets of the population are being targeted for urgent actions needed to mitigate and forestall this ugly trend from gaining more traction.

The event, according to a statement issued in Lagos, will, therefore, bring the major road usage/safety operators together with this category of road users in order to train them on best globally accepted practices and reinforce same where existent. This, it added,  will help participants and in extension, those in their sphere of influence adopt safer road usage manners in order to save their lives, that of their loved ones and other road users, importantly also, save their properties and the environment.

Facilitators at the event,  that will be powered with entertainment and loaded with fun while learning valuable skills, will include officers from the Police,  FRSC, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA) Response Unit (LRU) and others.
