The 333 333rd visitor to the Volkswagen Group South Africa’s multi-million rand PeoplePavilion, which was opened in December 2013 has been celebrated with a special welcome.

Alton Jantjies, a VWSA employee for the past 26 years, who has been a member of the PeoplePavilion Gym since its opening, became the 333,333rd visitor to the gym on August 23, 2017.  Alton has worked in various parts of the factory namely Final Assembly, Press Shop, Body Shop and Engine Plant.

“I find the PeoplePavilion very convenient as it is on my way home and to work. I use the gym because of the high standard of gym equipment, the affordability and the fact that it caters for our family members as well. Being a gym member has allowed me to invest in improving my health and wellness, which has seen the most drastic lifestyle change not only in my appearance but well-being as well,” Alton said.

The VWSA PeoplePavilion offers VWSA employees and their loved ones access to state of the art gym facilities and various venues which can be hired for weddings, birthdays and functions.  Almost 1 500 VWSA employees also take part in 17 sporting codes, most of which meet and practice at the PeoplePavilion.
