Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) Friday, April 1, held its annual entrance ceremony for new employees in Toyota City, Japan.
A statement obtained by AUTO REPORT AFRICA said participants, totaling approximately 200 people, included 40 executives (including Chairman Takeshi Uchiyamada and President Akio Toyoda), 16 representatives from the Toyota Motor Workers’ Union and various management groups, and division representatives.
The statement added that the 2,239 new employees present (significantly increased compared to 1,504 at last year’s ceremony) comprised groups of 144 in administration, 596 in engineering, 52 in clerical fields, 1,380 in technical fields and 67 in health services.
