Sportage, Rio, Cerato drive Kia’s global sales for May as Mohave returns to showrooms in Nigeria

Kia Motors Corporation has put its May 2017 total global sales figures for passenger cars, recreational vehicles (RVs) and commercial vehicles at  219,128 units, stressing that its bestselling model in overseas markets for the month was the Sportage compact SUV with 35,629 units sold.

The subcompact Rio (known as ‘Pride’ in Korea), according to the Korean carmaker,  was the second best seller with 20,354 units sold, followed by the Cerato compact sedan (known as ‘Forte’ or ‘K3’ in some markets) with 19,263 units sold.

The May results came as Kia Motors Nigeria announced the return of Kia Mohave to its showrooms and dealerships across the country. Flaunting the newly-re-engineered Mohave for its “supreme comfort and absolute experience,” Kia Motors Nigeria said, “The new Mohave lets you bask in the luxurious interior of a high-end sedan yet with the functional amenities of an SUV for a practical, pleasurable driving experience that enhances the pure pleasure of your driving experience.”
