Africa Day has been celebrated with an array of colour and ethnic fashion at the Port Elizabeth head office of General Motors South Africa (GMSA).

On that day, employees traded their corporate workwear for traditional African attire in the spirit of commemorating Africa Day.

Speaking on the significance of the day, General Manager of Human Resources, Elvis Hermans, said Africa Day reinforces pride in Africans.

“At General Motors South Africa, we embrace diversity and regards it as a strength. By celebrating Africa Day, we recognise that we are part of an illustrious continent filled with opportunity and unwavering potential,” he said.

Africa Day is commemorated annually on May 25 and is recognized and celebrated by many countries across the world.
