Chinese auto giant, GAC Motor, surely has its eyes at the top. And as one of the fastest growing automotive brands in Asia, the Chinese carmaker is unrelenting in its bid to play big in the global auto market, in spite of the challenges.
With this desire in mind, GAC Motor has stormed the 2017 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit with three new models, thus becoming the first Chinese carmaker to make such debut in the history of the Show .
Though the new models were only revealed to the media on Sunday, Jan. 8, coming to Detroit with the five-seater GS7 SUV, the GE3 electric car as well as the Enspirit concept hybrid crossover,will surely make the GAC Motor pavilion a place to be for many visitors when the Detroit Show formally opens to the public on Jan. 14.
AFP Relax News reports that GAC Motor will become the first Chinese car company in history to take a stand on the main floor of the NAIAS. Quoting the company claims, the news agency said the GE3 electric car will offer a usable range of 192 miles between charges and that its conceptual crossover is targeted firmly at the youngest generation of car buyer and there are suggestions that it could come with a removable hard top.
“The US has one of the most developed auto industries in the world with a hundred years of auto history and culture, people have reached social consensus in the essential attributes of cars, and high-quality auto products have very broad market space,” AFP Relax News quoted the general manager of GAC Motor, Yu Jun, as saying.
