A major distributor of Toyota vehicles in Nigeria, Elizade Motors, has joined the league of vehicle assembly plant owners in the country with the completion of its multi-brand vehicle assembly plant located in the Ikotun area of Lagos.
The Managing Director, Elizade Motors, Mr. Demola Ade-Ojo, who disclosed this while speaking with journalists at the flagship showroom for JAC vehicles in Lagos last Thursday, said the 10,000 units per year KD Plant would be for the assembly of Toyota and JAC vehicles, adding that it may be contracted out to other brands if there is excess capacity.
Ade-Ojo however said that production of cars and trucks at the plant will start from the second to third quarter of 2016.
