ELIZADE AUTOLAND OPENS STATE -OF – THE-ART FACILITY FOR JAC VEHICLES IN LAGOS

Elizade Autoland, a division of Elizade Motors, last Thursday in Lagos, further demonstrated its confidence in Chinese automaker, JAC Motors, as it opened a multimillion Naira state-of-the art showroom solely dedicated to JAC range of vehicles.

The facility which is located on Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way in Ikeja is the first of two of such facilities planned for Lagos, with the second nearing completion on Akin Adesola road in highbrow Victoria Island, Lagos.

Conducting journalists round the flagship facility after a media briefing, Managing Director, Elizade Motors, Mr. Demola Ade-Ojo, said the massive edifice is a demonstration of the confidence his company has in JAC vehicles, having put the vehicles to test across Nigerian roads in the last two years.

“In 2013, we officially sealed our partnership deal in China. We are now pushing the brand into the market for acceptance. We have taken our relationship with JAC as a long-term strategy,” he said.

On the motivation for sticking it out with JAC vehicles, Ade-Ojo said that Elizade saw the vehicles as product that could deliver good value for Nigerians and one that is affordable so that Nigerians would no longer go for used vehicles.

According to Ade-Ojo, “We are not saying that JAC vehicles are perfect but we’ll continue to improve upon our offering. Our flagship showrooms for JAC vehicles on Mobolaji Bank Anthony and Akin Adesola are testimony of our seriousness with JAC. We are taking all these steps because we believe in the products.”

Describing the JAC brand of vehicles as “another Toyota in the making”, Ade-Ojo said: “We are putting all the structure in place and doing everything possible to ensure that JAC is seen as not just a Chinese vehicle but as other Asian vehicles like Toyota and others.”

Speaking on the relationship with Elizade, the Regional Manager, Light Commercial Vehicle Division, JAC Int’l, China, Mr. Lyrida Lu, said; “We found in Elizade a reputable auto distributor and we established relationship with Elizade in 2012 on light duty trucks and passenger cars…We’ve given out our vehicles to customers to test and we’ve received satisfactory report. Now is the time for us to push out more and achieve more as we are here to stay.”
