Beauty meets luxury for three days at the Mercedes-Benz Centre Lagos, starting this Wednesday. The CEO of World PR Media Limited,  Tayo Afolabi, said the decision of her organisation to partner Mercedes-Benz for the annual Mercedes-Benz World PR Beauty Business Week was informed by the desire to explore the inherent benefits of a synergy between luxury which Mercedes-Benz represents and beauty which the World PR Media champions.

“The Beauty Business Week was created as an avenue to profile the trends and stakeholders in the beauty industry and partnering with Mercedes-Benz to execute same was perfect due to one of the luxury car giant’s CSRaim to promote indigenous products/services in countries it has the presence in,” she explained.

Speaking at a pre-event media briefing at the Mercedes-Benz Centre Lagos last weekend , Afolabi disclosed that the maiden edition of the three-day event will feature  exhibitions and seminars/workshops on beauty and luxury lifestyle with speakers drawn from the best in the industry, including Dr. Vivian Oputa of Derma Care and the CEO of Mahogany International, Sola Oyebade, who were present at the briefing.

Ebere Anenih, General Manager, Legal/Compliance, Business &Network Development and Human Resources, Weststar Associates Limited, authorized general distributors of  Mercedes-Benz in Nigeria, who represented Mirko Plath, Managing Director, Weststar Associates Limited, at the briefing,  said Mercedes-Benz was proud to partner with the World PR Media not only to showcase luxury that Mercedes-Benz represents but also as part of the company’s CSR objective of supporting local enterprises and products in all areas of its operations.

Afolabi listed other highlights of the event to include the Experience Zones, Master Class/Seminar section and the Lipstick Garden which,  according to her, is the first ever lipstick garden in Nigerian with teardrop glasses dropping from the roof with the lipsticks displayed.
