Weststar Associates Limited, the authorised general distributors of Mercedes-Benz in Nigeria, has made it to the final list of this year’s General Distributors Awards organised annually by Daimler Commercial Vehicles Conference Middle East & Africa (MENA).
This award category recognises general distributors within the African markets that have performed excellently in 2019.
Weststar Associates said it is looking forward with great optimism to the awards ceremony scheduled to hold in Dubai on February 25. It stressed that making it to the final list is “a sign of our dedication and hardwork.” The company also expressed gratitude to all its customers and business partners for their invaluable support over the years.
AUTO REPORT AFRICA recalls that at the Awards ceremony last year, Abu-Dhabi-based Emirates Motor Company, the authorised general distributor of Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicles in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, was named the General Distributor of the Year as it won the Award for the second consecutive year.
Emirates Motor Company Commercial Vehicles (EMC CV) actually coasted home with two prestigious awards at the event as the dealership and its flagship company, ALFAHIM Group, received both the General Distributor of the Year Award as well as the Mercedes-Benz Trucks Award for its outstanding performance in sales and customer service and parts in 2018.
EMC CV was also recognised for introducing the new Citaro Euro 6 bus to the region through a public transport agreement which features a comprehensive service contract for five years alongside a unique Sprinter Minbus solution.
