LIQUI MOLY Managing Director Ernst Prost on true values in life

Ernst Prost

In today’s letter , Ernst Prost, Managing Director of the
oil and additive specialist LIQUI MOLY, talks about how the current situation is making it clear what things are really important in life and how much he is looking forward to everything that is yet to come. Enjoy it here:

“Good morning, dear companions!

“’Here’s to what is still to come.”

“This song by Lotte and Max Giesinger is one of my current favorites. And, yes, I’m really looking forward to what’s yet to come. Even though I’m already 63 …

“But I really think there’s more to come. 🙂 Now, first of all, back to normality – step by step. However, I hope not everything comes back … I don’t know about you, but Corona has shown us humans not only our limits, but also the true values of human life: Empathy, compassion, but also fighting spirit. We want to live!

“All the supposedly self-evident things like health, freedom, leisure time and a secure job are not as self-evident, as we now have come to see. And much of the mindless jingle-jangle, distraction and dumbing down is exactly what it is: Just distraction and dumbing down.

“It’s certainly amazing what you don’t really need to battle the supposed boredom and to kill time, and how little you need to live a full and happy life: Family, friends, human encounters, peace, leisure and relaxation.

“And, yes, I consider work to belong to our lifeblood. As Voltaire said: “Work keeps away three great evils: Boredom, vice and poverty.”

“Not bad as a combination: Voltaire and Max Giesinger!

‘“I want to crash against the wall and stand up again. Want to be the greatest optimist when it’s been raining for days. Here’s to every stumble, every failure. It all brings us a little farther. Here’s to what is still to come.”

“As I’ve already said: I look forward to experiencing and enjoying – together with you – what is yet to come.

“With fond regards,

“Yours,

“Ernst Prost

“Managing Director.”
