…As Alain Raposo Becomes Senior Vice President, Powertrain and Chassis Engineering
PSA Groupe, the French carmaker, has appointed Christian Chapelle as Senior Vice President, Monozukuri Operations department for the Middle East & Africa region. Chapelle, whose appointment took effect from April 1, will report to Jean Christophe Quémard, Executive Vice President, Middle East & Africa and member of the Executive Board.
His role will be to ensure that the region has the vehicle products, sourcing network, manufacturing resources and supply chain needed to meet the objectives set out in the Push to Pass strategic plan.
Monozukuri is a Japanese term for a method of reducing costs across the entire value chain.
Chapelle’s appointment came as PSA also announced the appointment of Alain Raposo as Senior Vice President, Powertrain and Chassis Engineering, having led the Group’s Electric Vehicle Programmes since July 2017.
Raposo, whose appointment also took effect from April 1, will report to Gilles Le Borgne, Executive Vice President, Quality and Engineering and member of the Executive Committee.
