PORSCHE MAKES NEW APPOINTMENTS

The Porsche Supervisory Board has announced the appointment of Albrecht Reimold (54) as new Member of the Executive Board for Production and Logistics at Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG. He will take up his new post on February 1, 2016, succeeding Dr. Oliver Blume, who is Chairman of the Porsche Executive Board since October.

The announcement, according to a statement, was made after a meeting of the Supervisory Board last Friday.

Under the new arrangement, Reimold will be moving to Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen after managing the Volkswagen plant in Bratislava for the last four years. The Supervisory Board also appointed Jürgen Rittersberger (43) Executive Manager for Porsche AG with immediate effect.
Commenting on the appointment of the new Member of the Executive Board for Production and Logistics, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Dr. Wolfgang Porsche, said: “Over his many years of working in various roles at the Volkswagen Group, Albrecht Reimold has built up great knowledge. Porsche will benefit significantly from that.”
Chairman of the Porsche Executive Board, Dr. Oliver Blume, emphasised: “I have come to know Albrecht Reimold as a well-informed team player. For that reason too, he’s the right man for us. He knows that in order to achieve the best product quality it’s the people in the factories that matter.”
Albrecht Reimold originates from Baden-Württemberg, Germany. After training to be a toolmaker and then studying production technology in Heilbronn, he began his professional career as a trainee at Audi. In 1993, he took over managing the A8 body construction unit in Neckarsulm, followed by the A2 manufacturing division five years later. From 2002, Reimold was responsible for the production planning of the A6, A8 and R8 models. He was also leading the Audi Neckarsulm plant’s planning division for three years, before being appointed Chairman of the Executive Board at Volkswagen Slovakia in Bratislava. Reimold gained international experience when led the production planning of the Changchun site in China.
New Executive Manager Jürgen Rittersberger has been with Porsche since 2002, working initially as a project manager in the process optimisation department, before being appointed Head of Central Office of the then newly formed Porsche Automobil Holding SE five years later. In 2010, Rittersberger moved back to Porsche AG as Vice President General Secretariat and Business Development.
