Porsche Macan GTS: The Sports Car Among Compact SUVs

Porsche Macan GTS is the GTS version of Porsche’s compact SUV.

The sports car which combines a high level of driving dynamics with outstanding everyday utility is scheduled to be on sale from next March at the Porsche Centre Lagos with orders already being processed.

Going for a princely retail price of  N27,350, 300 in the Nigerian market, the thoroughbred sports car among SUVs promises to be the toast of those who love super road machines.

The all-new GTS version of Porsche’s compact SUV surely provides driving experiences that surpass those which have become customary with the Macan.

And like all Porsche models that bear the three letter insignia, the Macan GTS is inspired by motor racing. A reengineered chassis, 20 hp more than the Macan S and reinforced brakes are some of the features on offer in the latest addition to the Stuttgart-based manufacturer’s GTS line-up.

With an output of 360 hp and 500 Nm of torque, the Macan GTS places in-between the Macan S and the Macan Turbo. The technical basis for this comprises of a three-litre V6 bi-turbo engine from the Macan S, accompanied by the Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) and Porsche Traction Management (PTM) with flexible power distribution between front and rear axles. Completing the zero to 100 km/h sprint in 5.0 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono package, the Macan GTS has a top speed of 256 km/h.
A sportier tuning of the PASM chassis lowered by 15 millimetres, along with 20-inch RS Spyder design wheels with matt black paint finish and mixed tyres (front: 265/45 and rear: 295/40), are some of the new sporty features.

Also, in keeping with iconic Porsche styling are the standard GTS sport seats with Alcantara centre panels, additional Alcantara trim in the interior as well as a distinctive sounding sports exhaust system. The new Porsche Communication Management (PCM) celebrates its SUV debut in the Macan GTS.
The Macan GTS can be recognised at first glance; thanks to a range of exterior accents finished in black. This includes high gloss in the upper and matt finish in the lower areas of the car, as well as GTS-specific colouring, that comes as standard.

And for the first time, the Macan GTS is also available with the option of LED headlights including Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus which guarantees optimum illumination of the road under all conditions.
Based on its special qualities, the new Macan GTS offers even more driving fun. With this model, Porsche is once more underlining its claim that the Macan is the sports car among compact SUVs.
