PAN Nigeria launches new PEUGEOT Pick-Up in Abuja

The much-awaited new PEUGEOT Pick-Up is already in Nigeria. PAN Nigeria, assemblers of Peugeot brand of vehicles in the country, introduced the new Pick-Up into the Nigerian market recently at a brief ceremony in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

The ceremony, which held at the NAF Conference Centre, Kado, Abuja , was attended by members of Nigerian Armed Forces, other national security operatives, public service, the organised private sector and PAN’s dealership network.

Speaking at the launch, the Managing Director/CEO of PAN Nigeria Limited, Ibrahim Boyi, said, the event will make some feel nostalgic having seen the last 504 Peugeot Pick-Up dominate the Nigeria auto market in the 80’s and 90’s with its last production in 2005 at PAN plant in Kaduna.

Boyi said the new PEUGEOT Pick-Up has a greater ground clearance, power and torque to withstand difficult terrains, with its largest cabin and leg rooms for passengers amongst its class, allowing maximum comfort, safety and utility on and off the road, with unbelievable price at the cheapest in pick up segment.

“The new Peugeot Pick-Up comes with HDI engine, 5-speed Manual Transmission and diesel engine proven to burn at low temperatures, extending life span of the engine components and therefore, the life cycle of the engine,” he said.

With its brand reputation of the 404 and 504, the new PEUGEOT Pick-Up has retained most of the elements and has also improved on them.

Highlights of the colourful event was a road test of the vehicles and an on-the-spot order of four of the new PEUGEOT Pick-Up  by one of the guests at the ceremony.
