New senior management appointments at Nissan

Nissan, Friday, April 30, announced senior management appointments effective May 16, 2021.The new appointments, according to an official statement,  are aimed at further strengthening the automaker’s leadership team to deliver on its business transformation, Nissan NEXT.

According to the statement obtained by AUTO REPORT AFRICA, Takeshi Yamaguchi, currently corporate vice president (CVP) for special projects has been appointed CVP and managing director of Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Company (DFN) and vice president, Dongfeng Motor Co., Ltd. (DFL) reporting to Shohei Yamazaki, senior vice president and chairperson of Management Committee for China.

Also, Antoine Barthes, currently managing director of DFN and vice president DFL, has been appointed vice president Global Sales, Customer Quality/Dealer Network Development. Barthes will report to Asako Hoshino, executive vice president.

The statement said with these moves, Nissan will continue to strengthen its global and regional integration, become more competitive by improving the speed of operations and help deploy latest technologies consistently and quickly to customers the world over.
