New Managing Director for Subaru Southern Africa

 

A new Managing Director has been appointed for Subaru Southern Africa. He is Andrew Marshall, who officially took over, June 1, 2020, from outgoing Managing Director, Rui Silva, who has opted out to pursue other opportunities.

Marshall is bringing his over 20 -years’  work experience in the automotive sector to bear on his new role .

His management experience includes four years as Regional Manager for CFAO Malawi, three years as General Manager for Toyota Malawi, four years as Managing Director for Toyota Zambia and eight years as General Manager of Toyota Tsusho Africa.

Marshall also successfully established the Subaru brand in Zambia during his tenure as Managing Director.

Commenting on his new assignment, Marshall said: “I look forward to steering Subaru through these unprecedented and uncertain times. We have an enthusiastic and thriving dealer network that is wanting of a broader customer base.”

He added: “With this renewed energy, our shareholders and manufacturer are steadfast in further investments in our market. This all bodes well for our mandate of delivering superior confidence in all that we do for our customers.”
