As Aliyu proffers solutions to industrialisation challenges

The National Automotive Design and Development Council, NADDC, has thrown its weight behind the automotive local content conference and exhibition being organised by a transport firm, Routes & Roads Transport Company . The event is scheduled to hold in Kaduna from October 4 –  October 7,  2017 .

This came as the Director General,  NADDC, Mr Jelani Aliyu,  called for more emphasis on practical knowledge and innovations in creating solutions to the major challenges of industrialisation.

Aliyu, who gave the endorsement of the Council to the automotive local content conference and exhibition while receiving the Executives of the transport company in his office, applauded the initiative that is meant to bring together the major stakeholders in the industry with a view to networking and promoting local content development in Nigeria.

While urging the organisers to engage the private sectors, especially the stakeholders in the industry for active participation, Jelani said the Council,  within its mandate,  would give adequate support towards the development of the local auto industry.
Expressing his appreciation, the Executive President of Routes & Roads Transport Company and leader of the delegation, Mr. Akoh Salifu, expressed gratitude to the Council for the support, saying his company  was making necessary preparations to ensure that participants at the event get value for their money.

Meanwhile, the NADDC boss, Aliyu, has called for more emphasis on practical knowledge and innovations in creating solutions to the major challenges of industrialisation.

He made call at the Conference and Exhibition on “The Fourth Industrial Revolution, Getting Africa Ready” organised by Digitalafrica in Abuja last week.  Stressing the need for empowerment programmes that would harness the potentials of the youths with a view to building capacity for positive contributions to global development, Aliyu said:  “We can no longer afford to have solutions being innovated in other places, we must empower our youths and our people to be part of developmental process, so that we can be in the best position to come up with solutions to our challenges.”

He promised that the Council would continue to work closely with the stakeholders to expand their operations and have the potential to employ more youths.
