Monday marked one year since Mazda Southern Africa (Pty) Ltd announced the Retail Finance Partnership with WesBank.
On the 1st February 2015, Mazda Financial Services commenced operations as the official finance partner for Mazda Southern Africa with the primary aim of developing “best in class” services, products and “offers” for the Mazda dealer and owner.
“We would like to thank Mazda Southern Africa and all Mazda Dealer Partners for their support towards reaching this milestone,” said Graham Dunkerley, who heads up the Mazda Financial Services Business Unit.
Since operations began in February 2015, Mazda Financial Services has seen a production growth of over 175% by the close of December 2015; growing the market share to 40%. Mazda Financial Services applications started at 230 and by December 2015 had reached a record 1 308 finance applications.
“The choice of WesBank as the Retail Finance partner to Mazda SA has added the necessary market requirement of a Financial Services element to the Mazda Brand’s customer offer and experience. We believe that Mazda Financial Services will continue to deliver on products and services that will enhance our primary business which is vehicle sales,” David Hughes, MD of Mazda Southern Africa, said.
