Kina Wileke to Replace Henry Sténson at AB Volvo’s Group Communications & Sustainability Affairs Dept.

AB Volvo has announced the appointment of Kina Wileke as Executive Vice President, Group Communications & Sustainability Affairs. Currently, the Senior Vice President, Brand Communication & Marketing, at AB Volvo Penta, Wileke will take over from Henry Sténson, who at his own request, will take up a position as Senior Advisor to Volvo’s Executive Management team. Wileke is due to assume her new position on January 1, 2018.

Born in 1974, she was the Senior Vice President, External Corporate Communication, at AB Volvo, prior to her current appointment.

President and CEO of the Volvo Group, Martin Lundstedt, said in a statement announcing her new appointment on Monday that “Kina has 10 years of experience from Volvo Group and is well positioned to support our journey towards strengthened performance through continuous improvement and innovation…Please join me in welcoming Kina and give her your full support in her new role.” 

He added: “Henry Sténson has contributed to developing Volvo Group in many ways. He has successfully supported the implementation of a brand based strategy with increased focus on customer success and performance and a new organization to realise this strategy.”
