Jeep Brand partners Jebel Jais Flight on non-stop adventure in UAE

The Jeep® brand is set to hit the ground running in the United Arab Emirates on a non-stop adventure with the announcement of  a new sponsorship agreement with Toroverde, the specialist adventure company that built and operates the Jebel Jais Flight zipline in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.

Ras Al Khaimah’s Jebel Jais, the highest peak in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), is also home to Jebel Jais Flight – the world’s longest zipline as certified by Guinness World Records. This has seen the UAE’s most northern emirate rocket into the major league of global adventure tourism and cementing Ras Al Khaimah as the region’s leading adventure tourism destination.

Already established as a bucket list crowd puller and named as the Middle East’s leading tourist attraction in the 2018 World Travel Awards, the 2.83km long zipline, which was designed and built by adventure specialists Toroverde in partnership with Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, gives thrill-seekers and adrenaline junkies the chance to travel at speeds up to 150km/h at a height of 1,680 metres above sea level – the closest experience to flying like a falcon that a human being can get.

But the adventure, excitement and open-air freedom goes beyond the zipline experience. The Jeep® brand, following announcement of a sponsorship agreement with Toroverde, is now the “on the ground” automotive partner of the world’s longest zipline, ensuring that the adventure begins right from the beginning of the journey with a fleet of the latest Jeep Wrangler models providing highly dependable transport and logistical support.

The new Jeep Wrangler, the fourth generation of the world’s most capable off-roader, epitomizes Jeep’s ‘Go Anywhere, Do Anything’ spirit.

Jeep Wrangler, which is just as at ease on city streets as it is off the beaten path, brings together Jeep’s legendary off-road prowess, with superior comfort, authentic style and state-of-the-art technology. The result is the most capable Wrangler ever, courtesy of unrivalled technical features, which, depending on the trim, include two advanced four-wheel drive, active, on-demand full time systems – Command-Trac and Rock Trac, plus Tru-Lock electric front- and rear-axle lockers, Trac-Lok limited slip differential and electronic front sway-bar disconnect.

Also Wrangler’s engine offer has been renewed with the introduction of a 2.2-litre turbo diesel delivering 200hp and a 2.0-litre petrol engine delivering 272hp. Both new engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, a first for this model.

The Jeep Wrangler line up comprises three different trim levels: Sport, Sahara and Rubicon – all of which are available in two- or four-door configuration, and in an all-new Overland Pack, exclusively on the Sahara version, ensuring a more upmarket appearance.
