India’s first 4G LTE telecom system now in Africa

 The LTE portfolio was launched in India by the country’s Telecom Minister Shri Manoj Sinha, along with Nigeria’s Minister for Communication, Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Shittu ; Mr. Meas Po, Secretary of State, Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, Cambodia, and other global dignitaries, at the India Telcom 2018 event.

 VNL used the 4th edition of the Indo-Africa ICT Expo 2018  in Lagos as an opportunity to bring its vision of connecting the unconnected to Africa. The grand expo is being organized by Government of India’s Telecom Equipment and Services Export Promotion Council and NASSCOM (National Association of Software and Service Companies), to strengthen the relationship between Africa and India for a mutually profitable partnership.

 Commenting on the launch, VNL’s Founder, Chairman Mr. Rajiv Mehrotra said, “The latest range of technologically robust 4G/LTE telecom products is the outcome of our strong in-house R&D capabilities and signify India’s inherent strengths in the area of telecom equipment manufacturing. These systems offer compact and versatile radio applications and can operate flawlessly even in harsh environment.”

 He added, “Africa is amongst the fastest growing markets in the world with immense potential for further economic growth, and VNL believes that connectivity will help Africa reach greater heights.  VNL has successfully executed several projects globally in countries like Somaliland, Kenya, Peru, Mexico, Ghana, Nigeria, Indonesia, Myanmar and Bhutan.
