Korean Automaker Expands NFL Marketing Programme to Two More Teams As Vikings and Steelers Join the Arizona Cardinals and Houston Texans as Clubs with Hyundai Sponsorships

HYUNDAI SEALS SPONSORSHIP DEALS WITH MINNESOTA VIKINGS, PITTSBURGH STEELERS

Hyundai said it is continuing its love of football and celebration of fan passion by building on its NFL sponsorship as it signed automotive sponsorship deals with two NFL teams – the Minnesota Vikings and Pittsburgh Steelers.

In a statement issued in Fountain Valley, California on Wednesday, senior group manager, experiential marketing, Hyundai Motor America, Trea Reedy, said: “Hyundai is not only connecting with football fans at a national level, but in the community where fans really show their passion.

“Both Minnesota and Pittsburgh have dedicated and loyal fan bases and by partnering with them we are able to strengthen our footprints in those markets and drive traffic to our dealers.”
The Korean automaker, according to the statement, will have two vehicles on display at all Vikings home games and one vehicle on display at all Steelers home games the rest of the season. Furthermore, Hyundai will be giving away co-branded Hyundai merchandise to Vikings and Steelers fans at games.

The company will also be running local advertising on TV and radio in both markets.
In addition to its fan zone activation space at each Vikings home game, Hyundai will have digital LED signage and a logo on the media backdrop for all team related announcements.

Once the Vikings move into their new stadium in 2016, Hyundai will also be the naming rights sponsor for the “Hyundai Club” at U.S. Bank Stadium, which opens in August 2016. Hyundai’s presence with the Vikings goes online with social and digital assets, including pre-roll commercials on Vikings.com. Hyundai will also be teaming up with the Vikings on a collaborative community initiative starting in 2016.
With the Steelers, Hyundai will have naming rights of the “Hyundai Club West” at Heinz Field. Hyundai also will be featured on LED and video boards throughout the stadium, and in digital and social assets for the Steelers.
Hyundai also has team deals with the Arizona Cardinals and Houston Texans. Both of these teams are featured in Hyundai ads that run every Sunday: “D-Gate” and “Field Goal.”
The statement further disclosed that Advantage International negotiated the Steelers and Vikings deals on behalf of Hyundai.
