G.U.D Holdings Brings ‘New’ FRAM Into Nigerian Market …Targets 80% market share

South African company and leader in that country’s automotive products, G U D Holdings, has entered into partnership with Partboyz Auto Parts to reintroduce FRAM Filters into the Nigerian market.

With the aim of ultimately taking 80 percent of fuel filters market in Nigeria, GUD Holdings said it is now bringing the new FRAM Filters that is manufactured in South Africa into Africa’s biggest market, Nigeria.

Speaking at the introduction of the made-in-South Africa FRAM Filters at a distributors’ forum in Lagos recently, After Sales Manager, GUD Holdings, Paul Goosen, said that with the partnership with Partboyz, his company will now flood the Nigerian market with the new FRAM to replace the old brand that is made in the United States without compromising the FRAM quality.

Assuring the over 20 distributors of FRAM present at the re-launch of the same FRAM quality they have also known, Goosen said his company was only rebranding the FRAM in line with the company’s quest to continually feed its customers across the globe with quality and innovative products that can stand the test of time.

He expressed optimism that the filters would capture 80 percent of the market having re-entered  the market with innovation and value-addition that would convince customers in the country to patronise the product.

He said the  new product has high quality rubber seal, outlet anti-drainback valve and high quality metals used to ensure no corrosion occurs, high quality media for maximum filtration and by-pass valve which performs to Original Equipment Manufacturers(OEM) specifications.

’’Fram Filters offers quality air, fuel, oil and cabin air filters with a range of 900 part numbers to the aftermarket customers. Fram Filters has a rich motorsport heritage with the brand being synonymous with performance, quality and reliability,” Goosen said.

Also speaking at the event, Chief Executive Officer of  Partboyz  Auto Parts and a major importer of Fram filters  , Mr. Olu Okusanya, said the re-launch of the product in Nigeria represents aggressive innovation in fuel filters market in the country.

He said the product comes with quality, durability, cost-effectiveness and corporate integrity of the company that has manufactured Fram filters for 40 years.

He said he would embark on aggressive marketing strategy with a view to ensuring that the new Fram filters is identified with by auto users in the country.

He said the old Fram filters has been phased out in order to give room for the new one to gain desired prominence among customers in Nigeria.
