The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun State Sector Command, on Thursday, announced the temporary closure of a section of the Ibadan- Lagos expressway to allow unhindered rehabilitation work around the Sagamu interchange.

The Sector Commander, Corps Commander Clement Oladele, said the temporary closure became necessary due to the on-going rehabilitation of Ibadan – Lagos expressway by Julius Berger Construction Company.

He explained that some section of the Ibadan – Lagos expressway at Sagamu interchange will be temporarily closed for traffic from Thursday, November 3, to Saturday, November 12, 2016.

A statement issued by the Sector Command said it will ensure minimal discomfort of motorists during the period by placing FRSC officials on the expressway for effective traffic control and monitoring.

It however advised motorists to obey traffic officials while driving with caution throughout the road rehabilitation period, saying FRSC and other law enforcement agencies will always be on ground to ensure safety and security of road users.
