General Motors South Africa (GMSA) has once again spread some festive cheers to the company’s retirees this year by presenting them with Spar vouchers. A total of 1700 Spar vouchers were distributed to the value of R1.2 million, according to a statement obtained by AUTO REPORT AFRICA.
“I am extremely grateful to General Motors for the generous donation. This voucher will come in very handy over the festive season. I am grateful to have worked for a company that still looks after me and my family long after I have retired,” the statement quoted retiree, Mr. Freddie Habbet (82) as saying .
Malaine Hop Hing, GMSA Human Resources Manager, Benefits and Services, said this gift to the retirees once again reaffirms the company’s commitment to the people who diligently worked for the GM over the years.
Furthermore, the retirees have access to an onsite medical clinic and two dedicated social workers throughout the year.
