Like India almost 15 days ago, South Africa will host its very first E-Prix next Saturday. A unique race that will take place in Cape Town in the spectacular setting of “Table Mountain”.
After Jean-Eric Vergne’s magnificent victory in Hyderabad (first victory for the Gen3 DS E-TENSE FE23 single-seater), DS Automobiles and its partner PENSKE AUTOSPORT are aiming to continue the good performance progress achieved since the start of the season.
Determined to win another podium, the DS PENSKE team has therefore invested intensely in a new preparation session in order to improve the settings of the DS E-TENSE FE23 and to perfect its race strategy.
But the team’s strongest asset remains its exceptional driver duo with, at the wheel of electric single-seaters developed by DS Performance, Jean-Eric Vergne, the only double champion in the discipline, and Stoffel Vandoorne, reigning world champion.
With long bumpy curves and portions of asphalt of different types, the Cape Town route will undoubtedly be a huge challenge for the 11 teams involved in this season 9.
As the most experienced and most rewarded manufacturer on the grid, DS Automobiles will be keen to take up this new challenge.
