Coscharis supports Ford Ranger with ‘Truck Month’ campaign

Leading Ford dealership in Nigeria, Coscharis Motors, weekend, said it is currently running the ‘Truck Month’ campaign in support of the new Ford Ranger.

General Manager, Marketing and Corporate Services, Coscharis Group, Mr. Abiona Babarinde, disclosed this while welcoming members of the Nigeria Automotive Journalists Association (NAJA) to the Nigeria’s launch of the global Ford Driving Skills for Life (DSFL) programme.

The DSFL programme had been incorporated as part of the activities of the maiden edition of NAJA annual training which held last weekend in Lagos, with NAJA members going through the driving skills programme handled by Derek Kirby, a DSFL trainer from Ford Sub Sahara Africa.

Welcoming NAJA members to the launch which held at the premises of Coscharis Motors in Lekki, Lagos, Babarinde expressed gratitude to the auto journalists for allowing the Ford brand to be part of the training session.

According to Babarinde, “Ford, as a committed and responsible corporate citizen in Nigeria, is making a significant contribution to promoting safe driving with the introduction of its global Ford Driving Skills for Life (DSFL) programme.”

Stressing the importance of the DSFL programme to the journalists, Babarinde said: “At present road safety is an important topic in Nigeria, it’s the responsibility of each and every one of us as Nigerian citizens to consider not only your life but the lives of fellow drivers and pedestrians when you are on the road.”

He also expressed the delight of Coscharis Motors for hosting the Driving Skills for Life team at the Lekki offices of the dealership .

Babarinde explained further: “Ford and Coscharis have both enjoyed great support from the journalists sitting here today. Ford is a growing brand in Nigeria. The Ford Ranger has continued its dominance as the best-selling Ford nameplate in Nigeria.

“In support of the Ford Ranger we are currently running a ‘Truck Month’ campaign offering a free Ford Protect maintenance plan (4 year / 120 000KM). There are currently three Quick Lanes operating in Nigeria, providing quick vehicle maintenance and light repairs. These are open to both Ford and non-Ford vehicle owners.

“We thank our fellow Nigerians for continuously supporting our brand over the years. This has made it possible for us to introduce three new vehicles into the Nigerian market this year:

  • The new Explorer (currently available at Coscharis);
  • The new Figo (currently available at Coscharis);
  • The new Edge (available in Q4 of this year) and
