Coscharis Landrover Looks Forward To 2016 Eko Atlantic City Beach Polo

With the success of its sponsorship of the first Beach Polo tournament in Nigeria, March, through its Jaguar Land Rover brands, Coscharis Motors, which had earlier sponsored the Lagos Polo Club event in 2013 through Land Rover, is surely looking forward to another exciting event in 2016.

The last event which is the first of its kind in Nigeria, brought together six teams with a total of more than 70 horses and 24 riders from the stable of Lagos Polo Club. The exciting event held at the Eko Atlantic City grounds, which is arguably the most impressive and expensive privately-funded civil engineering project in Africa.

On display at the four-day Tournament were the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Discovery, Jaguar F-Type and Jaguar XJ.

Excited at the success of the last tournament, Jaguar Landrover Brand Manager, Coscharis Motors, Cletus Aregbeshola, had said that Polo and Land Rover are naturally complementary in the sense that while Polo requires immense stamina, speed and capability; Land Rover thrives on on-road and off-road performance, capability and agility.

According to Aregbesola, “the fact remains that both are great premium luxury and demand absolute performance.” He added that “When you put the Eko Alantic City Project into the equation then you are able to appreciate the partnership and why Land Rover is part of this event.”

The Land Rover brand, AUTO REPORT AFRICA gathered, has been   an ardent supporter of the Polo Game and has over time, keyed into major Polo tournaments globally. The Land Rover Africa Cup in South Africa, the Land Rover Polo Challenge, which is geared towards benefitting the boys Club of New Rochelle in Connecticut and the Land Rover America’s Polo Cup, are only a few among other Polo Events Land Rover supports.
