Bridgestone, a global leader in tyres and rubber, confirms its commitment to endurance racing and its support for some of the top teams that will compete in the 2023 edition of the FIM Endurance World Championship, the ultimate endurance competition for motorbikes.

Since 2017, Bridgestone has been part of the EWC series by supplying BATTLAX brand tyres and has played a crucial role supporting championship-winning teams on three previous occasions. In 2023, Bridgestone will be the sole tyre supplier for three of the most ambitious teams:

  • FCC TSR Honda: The team has a strong track record in the EWC and is looking forward to defending the 2022 title – which was won on Bridgestone tyres – with a solid line-up of riders consisting of Josh Hook, Mike Di Meglio and Alan Techer.
  • Yoshimura SERT Motul: As the 2021 champion, this team has a long and strong history of success in endurance racing; their partnership with Bridgestone is a testament to the quality of the brand’s tyres. With riders Gregg Black, Sylvain Guintoli and Etienne Masson, the team is set to do even better than last season, where they came in second place.
  • YART Yamaha: This team is eager to show their full potential in the upcoming season after achieving sixth place last year. The rider line-up for this year consists of Nicolo Canepa, Marvin Fritz, Karel Hanika and Robin Mulhauser.

Bridgestone tyres: engineered to last and to perform in all weather conditions

The FIM EWC is the ultimate high-speed test of rider and machine, with each race lasting between eight and 24 hours, including day and night action. Endurance racing places a significant amount of stress on the tyres, which need to withstand constant wear and tear.

Being subject to these extreme conditions, Bridgestone racing tyres are designed with advanced technology and materials to provide maximum grip, handling, and durability, allowing teams to perform at their best throughout the entire race. Bridgestone racing tyres are also designed to provide excellent performance in various weather conditions, giving riders the confidence they need to push themselves to the limit in every situation.

Bridgestone’s experience in racing – and particularly in developing tyres designed to perform at their best in extreme conditions, such as those found in endurance racing – is also reflected in its end-consumer products, which benefit from the technologies and materials developed in the racing context.

The 2023 EWC season will run as follows:

  • 13-16 April: 46th 24 Heures Motos, Le Mans, France
  • 16-18 June: the second running of the 24H SPA EWC Motos, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium
  • 4-6 August: Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Race, Japan
  • 14-17 September: the Bol d’Or, Circuit Paul Ricard, France.

In Line with Bridgestone E8 Commitment

In particular, the commitment to Emotion, by inspiring excitement and spreading joy to the world of mobility.
