Weststar Associates Ltd, authorised general distributor of Mercedes-Benz, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and RAM vehicles in Nigeria, said arrangements had been concluded to add the FIAT brand of vehicles to its portfolio  in Nigeria with four models of the FIAT brand scheduled to be launched at an elaborate ceremony in April.

The Managing Director, Weststar Associates Ltd, Mr. Mirko Plath, who disclosed this, Friday, in Lagos at a meeting with auto journalists tagged, Day out with Weststar, said his company would also continue to support the Federal Government of Nigeria’s infrastructural development efforts with quality trucks.

Plath’s announcement of the coming of FIAT into Nigeria came amid feelers that Fiat Chrysler Automobile (FCA) was in the process of adding about  400 new U.S. dealerships in order to increase its share of the American auto market in which it already has about 2,500 dealerships that sell Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Ram vehicles.

Fiat Chrysler had earlier announced a $1 billion new U.S. investment to expand its factories in Ohio and Michigan and boost the U.S. market with 2,000 new jobs.

Fiat Chrysler had also utilized the 2016 Geneva Motor Show to relaunch the brand into global reckoning with the reveal of some exotic models of the Fiat brand.

Last July, the South Africa dealer launch of Fullback, the one-ton pick-up truck from Fiat Professional, was held following its world reveal at the “2015 Dubai International Motor Show”, where the newest addition to the award winning Fiat Professional range was revealed at a specialised event held 100 metres below ground level.

Backed by over a hundred years of history and an excellent reputation in the global LCV industry, the Fiat Professional brand has been making another leap forward with the launch of Fullback, one that completes its current extensive range of products and services that are tailored to the needs of professional customers.
