Solid Sales for Jaguar Land Rover in September

Jaguar Land Rover has posted solid sales for September 2017 with retail sales totalling 65,097 vehicles , up 7% on September 2016, following strong sales across the majority of key regions. According to the British carmaker, retail sales in September were up 20% year-on-year in China, 17% in North America, 10% in Overseas markets and 1% in Europe. Due to difficult market conditions, retail sales were down in the UK (4%).

Commenting on the feat, Jaguar Land Rover Group Sales Operations Director, Andy Goss, said: “September saw a solid performance across both of our brands, thanks in large part to continued customer demand for the Jaguar F-PACE and Discovery Sport, as well as an impressive consumer response to the new Range Rover Velar.”

For Jaguar, sales reached 18,336 vehicles in September, up 4% on September 2016, driven by solid sales of the XF, F-PACE and F-TYPE.

This is as Land Rover retailed 46,761 vehicles in September, up 8% year on year, reflecting strong sales of the Discovery Sport, Range Rover and Range Rover Velar.

Jaguar Land Rover said October will see the launch of the 2018 model of Range Rover Sport, which will be Jaguar Land Rover’s first plug-in hybrid electric vehicle and marks a significant step on the company’s road to electrification.
