PORSCHE MAKES NEW APPOINTMENTS, STEPS UP PRODUCT OFFENSIVE

Porsche Middle East and Africa FZE , Wednesday, said it is evolving the brand’s heritage of performance excellence further into the future through strategic, senior appointments at the regional headquarters.

With a new product offensive and commitment to further enhancing the brand’s unrivalled customer service, the restructuring, according to a statement, augments the regional strategy for long-term growth.
Arriving from Porsche China, Peter Vogel has taken on the role of Director Sales for Middle East, India and Africa, with John Wiltshire progressing to Director After Sales and Philipp Ayasse as Chief Financial Officer.

The new management organisation comes following the June appointment of Deesch Papke as Chief Executive Officer who returned to Porsche’s regional office in Dubai after overseeing a period of exponential growth as Managing Director from 2005 to 2011.
Speaking on the latest appointments, Deesch Papke, Chief Executive Officer of Porsche Middle East and Africa FZE, said: “We have a clear direction and strategy for growth in the region and it involves ensuring that Porsche’s exceptional standards of professionalism are maintained across the regional network.

“The latest appointments have a proven track record of not only matching but enhancing the brand’s professionalism. Our focus now is to deepen regional market penetration and enhance existing facilities in key markets.”
In line with Porsche’s regional goals of driving sales progress across 23 countries, including the GCC, Levant, Africa and India, the newly appointed Peter Vogel brings 21 years of automotive experience, 18 years of which has been gained within Porsche’s global organisation.
His assignment is complemented by the progression of John Wiltshire who will be leading the regional After Sales processes with immediate effect. Wiltshire brings 17 years of experience with the brand, including ten years with Porsche Middle East and Africa FZE.
The financial aspects of Porsche’s regional office in Dubai are now managed by Philipp Ayasse, who brings with him more than 12 years of brand experience. His recent role was with Porsche Centre Stuttgart where he oversaw the areas of finance, administration and human resources.
In addition to continuously striving for enhanced support of the importer network across the region, Porsche’s exceptional product offensive is set to accelerate the brand’s activities into 2016. Leading from the front will be the powerful new Porsche 911, embodying the pinnacle of Porsche performance and driving dynamics. With innovative turbo-charged engines, an advanced chassis designed for optimum performance and a ground-breaking infotainment system, the legendary model continues to set the benchmark in performance, driving pleasure and efficiency.
The introduction of the new 911 will be complimented by the Macan GTS, combining a high level of typical Porsche driving dynamics with outstanding everyday utility. Like all Porsche models that bear these three letters, the new GTS version of the Macan is inspired by motor racing and embodies Porsche’s absolute commitment to evolving race track technology to their road going cars.
