Kia Motors Corporation has announced its November 2017 global sales figures for passenger cars, recreational vehicles (RVs) and commercial vehicles, recording total sales of of 259,643 units.
The car maker said in November, sales in Korea slightly increased to 49,027 units from 48,906 a year earlier led by Kia’s RV line-up that includes Sorento, Niro and Stonic.
The company added that it posted 210,616 units of overseas sales in November, which represents a decrease of 17.6% compared to the previous year due to weakening demand in some of world’s major economies and toughening competition.
According to a statement issued in Seoul this Friday, Kia’s best-selling model in overseas markets during November 2017 was the Sportage compact SUV with 36,882 units sold. The Cerato compact sedan (known as ‘Forte’ or ‘K3’ in some markets) was the second best seller with 34,145 units sold, followed by the subcompact Rio (known as ‘Pride’ in Korea) with 27,835 units sold.
