GMSA EMPLOYEES RENEW COMMITMENT TO COMPLETE CARE

General Motors South Africa (GMSA) continues to live up to the ethos of its Complete Care programme, with employees  at the company’s Sales and Marketing offices in Woodmead recently signing the I Care pledge.

This simple act, according to a statement, represents a commitment to put the customer first in everything GMSA does – the very essence of Complete Care, a comprehensive suite of support structures that makes owning a Chevrolet, Opel or Isuzu vehicle a pleasure year-in and year-out. The statement added that in its quest to give customers an exceptional experience when buying or servicing a vehicle, GM has recently launched the I CARE Awards programme, to recognise company and dealer employees who demonstrate excellence towards customers.

Vice president of Vehicle Sales Service and Marketing, Brian Olson, said the I CARE initiative complements the Complete Care programme, stressing that “These programmes demonstrate our commitment in putting the customer at the centre of everything we do.”

According to the statement, “peace of mind matters all the time, but it is just a little bit more important right now: the festive season is the time when families traditionally saddle up and undertake a long-haul trip to their holiday destination.”

Complete Care services include:

  • A warranty of up to five years or 120 000 km on new vehicles
  • Free round-the-clock Roadside Assistance, every day of the year
  • Maintenance and servicing  by GM certified technicians
  • A Customer Care support centre available 24/7/365 on 0800 422 777
  • Complete Service Mobile Apps

But Complete Care isn’t a ‘static’ promise and it embraces ongoing efforts to continuously improve dealer service, and equip them with the skills and equipment to take care of cars which are designed with an eye on the future. About 40 000 hours of training is invested in the dealer network each year, and this has translated into awards in customer polls conducted by IPSOS, with Isuzu taking a gold and Chevrolet and Opel silver in a mid-2015 satisfaction survey.

General Motors is also a global leader in roadside assistance and customers benefit from a range of features embracing needs such as accommodation, vehicle rental, and repatriation of a vehicle.

“Consumers don’t just buy a vehicle, and they have high expectations in terms of what else is packaged with it to ensure peace of mind. Our mission at GM is to earn customers for life by delivering a consistently satisfying ownership experience for the Chevrolet, Opel and Isuzu brands. Simply put, we must give our customers Complete Care,” said Olson.
