Automedics boss, don, digital marketing expert to speak at Nigeria auto journalists’ annual training

The managing director of Automedics, a leading auto diagnostics and repair centre in Nigeria, Mr. Kunle Sonaike, is to speak on mechatronics and automotive parts at the maiden edition of the annual capacity building workshop and training for Nigeria auto journalists, scheduled to hold in Lagos from July 29-30.

A statement issued by the organising committee for the two-day event also listed other facilitators to include an auto industry analyst and university lecturer, Dr. Oscar Odiboh, who will lecture on Importance of research in automotive journalism; while a digital marketing expert, Priestly Adaigbe, is scheduled to talk on digitisation.

Chairman of Nigeria Auto Manufacturers Association (NAMA), who is also the Managing Director of VON Automobiles Limited, Mr. Tokunbo Aromolaran, had earlier commended the Nigeria Automotive Journalists Association (NAJA) for organising the annual event.

“Lots are happening now at various auto assemblies and manufacturing plants in the country,” he had said. “I know you have toured some of the plants. But if you would spare time to pay follow-up visits to the nation’s assembly and manufacturing plants, you would be able to see our latest products and so report them to Nigerians.”

Aromolaran added that “This will go a long way at encouraging local consumption of our locally made automobiles and at the long run, accelerate the Nigerian Industrial Development Plan (NIDP).”

The statement disclosed that leading stakeholders in the automobile and allied sectors as well as relevant government agencies have already keyed into the two-day training programme.
